Wolfgan Hörlin
on the large Rieger organ (70/IV/P) from 1999 in the Basilica of Vierzehnheiligen (Upper Franconia)

Recording: 2006

One is gladly reminded again: Hummel is one of the very great organ composers. This CD production confirms it most impressively. Wolfgang Hörlin is a convincing advocate of Hummel's music. His rendition is audibly a matter close to his heart. The Rieger organ used for the recording leaves a good impression. The booklet is exemplary. This recording leaves almost nothing to be desired.
