Waldemar Bohner has been a close friend of Bertold Hummel since their student days. He served for many years as district cantor for the Odenwald/Tauber region and lived in Tauberbischofsheim until his death. Bertold Hummel dedicated the work *Meditation on “Veni, sancte spiritus”* for organ, Op. 77a (1982), to his deeply devout friend.
