Wolfgang Hörlin
on the large Rieger organ (70/IV/P) from 1999 at the Basilica of the Fourteen Holy Helpers (Upper Franconia)

Recorded: 2006

It is always a pleasure to be reminded that Hummel is one of the very great organ composers. This CD recording confirms this most impressively. Wolfgang Hörlin is a compelling advocate of Hummel’s music. It is clear to hear that his performance is a labour of love. The Rieger organ used for the recording makes a favourable impression. The booklet is exemplary. This recording leaves almost nothing to be desired.
