I. Male choir:
Hail to thee, O Musika,
Hail to thee, thou divine one.
From valleys of darkness
you call us back to the light.
From the hardships of everyday life
you, O heavenly one
you lift people up,
Rapturing them from sorrow.
Hail to you, O divine one.
From valleys of darkness
you call us back to the light.
Hail to thee, O Musika,
Hail to thee, thou divine one.
II.a Soprano solo and male choir:
You want to give us starry moments.
You are in our thoughts,
from heavenly heights
Divine blessing, love's mercy,
you reveal the eternal being.
II.b Recitative, baritone solo:
The voice of the heart is the strength of your songs.
You give unfolding and working,
glowing joy and consolation.
II.c Male chorus:
Thus we go,
to stand before you with bare heads,
when you wrap the people in sound
heavenly gifts to the people,
crowning the singer,
when he names you in song.
III.a Soprano solo and male choir:
In your beauty's radiant light
Love blossoms, the jubilation resounds,
the truth of faith
hymn-like melodies of peace flow forth.
III.b Baritone solo:
Sing and rejoice to the Creator,
whose spheres resound in eternal song,
captivating the singer's soul to praise and thanksgiving,
to him who in you gave us the bliss of life,
in thee, O Musika.
III.c Soprano and baritone solo and male choir:
Praise him! Give him thanks!
Laudate dominum.
