Two choirs, one concert

Vibrant choral music from the classical and modern eras

Under the banner ‘Two Choirs – One Concert’, the ‘In Unison’ choir from Wiesbaden-Biebrich and the ‘Heartchor’ from Taunusstein invite you to a joint concert on Sunday, 8 November. The concert begins at 6 pm at Matthäuskirche.

The audience can look forward to a varied programme featuring lively choral music ranging from the classical to the contemporary. The two choirs will present works spanning various styles and musical eras – from sacred choral music to well-known tunes from pop history. The programme includes works by Antonín Dvořák, Bertold Hummel, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, John Rutter, Harold Arlen and Karl Jenkins, amongst others. The programme includes, for example, Dvořák’s ‘Es zog manch Lied ins Herz mir ein’, Hummel’s ‘Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe’, the Beatles’ classic ‘Michelle’, Rutter’s ‘God Be in My Head’ and Arlen’s ‘Over the Rainbow’. Further expressive works, including ‘Cantate Domino’ and ‘Healing Light’ by Karl Jenkins, round off the concert programme.

This joint concert promises a multifaceted evening that brings together different musical worlds and brings the diversity of choral music to life.
