A concert conceived and organised by Robert Bauer, a former resident of the Maison Heinrich Heine and holder of the Franco-German Chair in Music Theory (Composition) and Artistic Research.

The programme explores musical dialogues between France, Germany and Central Europe in the 20th century, against a backdrop of exile and cultural exchange. From Wilhelm Walther to Bertold Hummel and Karlheinz Stockhausen, it juxtaposes works influenced by France with the aesthetic contrasts of the 1950s. It also pays tribute to the Czech composer Vítězslava Kaprálová, who composed in Paris before dying prematurely in exile. Finally, the performance *Simplement Hölderlin* evokes the poet’s journey to Bordeaux, extending this reflection on artistic exchanges between the two banks of the Rhine.

The programme features works by Robert Christoph Bauer (*1986), Daniel Alvarado Bonilla (*1985), Claude Debussy (1862–1918), Bertold Hummel (1925–2002), Vitezslava Kaprálová (1915–1940), Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928–2007), Wilhelm Walther (1889–1940), as well as a group performance by Daniel Galindo, Ema Katrovas and Amélie Lejosne, and a solo performance by Vittoria Quartararo.
