1952 Diploma at the 7th International Competition in Geneva for outstanding achievements as a flutist
1959 -1961 Head of opera in Graz
1961-1965 General Music Director in Hanover 1965-1981 General Music Director at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf/Duisburg)
1969-1973 Professor of Conducting at the Folkwangschule in Essen
1981-1993 Professor of Conducting and Orchestra Conducting at the Würzburg University of Music
Recordings and radio productions as a conductor, including at the Edinburgh Festival, Warsaw Autumn, maggio musicale Firenze, concerts with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Capella Coloniensis, guest conducting engagements at the Vienna State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Covent Garden London, among others.
