Chien-Chun Hung
Chien-Chun Hung was born in Taichung, Taiwan, in 1990. He received his first professional music training from 2006 to 2009 at Nantou Senior High School. After a year of military service in 2011, he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Roswitha Staege. He has been a scholarship holder of the Paul Hindemith Society since 2012. In his home country, he was a member of the National Youth Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Taiwan. In addition to playing in the symphony orchestra of the Berlin University of the Arts, he is also a member of the Young Euro Classic Festival Orchestra, where he was successful as a solo flutist in 2012. He has won prizes in numerous national and international competitions in Taiwan and Europe, including second prize in the Stockholm International Music Competition in 2014, first prize in the Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition in 2015 and first prize in the Portugal Atlantic Coast International Young Soloist Competition in 2015. As a chamber musician, he has played in a variety of formations, including flute duo, trio, quartet, quintet, duo for flute and violin, flute and harp, etc. He has also played with well-known musicians such as cellist Prof. Wolfgang Boettcher and harpsichordist Prof. Mitzi Meyerson, and has extensive experience in this field. During his studies, he actively attended masterclasses with Peter-Lukas Graf, Michael-Martin Kofler, Gaby Pas-Van Riet, Jans Carlo, and Robert Aitken.
