The Burlesque (op. 76b), conceived as a "encore" piece for wind quintet. One will be reassured to discover that this is typically "Hummel-like", in a musical language full of humour, creating with a series of fresh thoughts alternating between slower and more lively "building blocks" and with a cornucopia of musical ideas condensed into a compact work, allowing all five instruments in turn to come equally to the fore.
